Adopt

Here is Blackie, renamed Bella, one of our shelter pups with her new parent.
Blackie was adopted in September 2019 and has since been back for her regular checks.  She's always super happy to see us!

See SOME ADOPTION STORIES

All our animals have histories of either abuse, neglect or injury - often at the hands of people.

Our rescues have been cared for and loved at the Sanctuary. They are free to roam, and are not chained or caged.  They play and have fun, they are well fed and they are treated when sick. They are fully vaccinated and neutered if old enough.

The Adoption Commitment

When you adopt an animal, we will commit to provide a level of ongoing care for your adopted family member, in return for your commitment to ensure that this standard of care continues.

Our Commitment to you

  • Free vaccinations for the first year
  • Free vet consultations for as long as we have a vet
  • Free vet consultations and Rabies shots for all DAS rescues through Petvet Animal Medical Center in Bagacay, Dumaguete - visit their Facebook page
  • Free spay / neuter

Your Commitment to Us

  • 500 pesos fee ( if you object to this or cannot afford this, then you are not a suitable adopter)
  • Returning your animal to the Sanctuary for free first year vaccinations and spay / neuter when scheduled
  • Agree to a home inspection from a DAS representative
  • Not to tie up or cage your animal for any length of time
  • Provide a home for the duration of the animal's lifetime and not to pass them on to others
  • Afford basic veterinary care whenever needed

The Adoption Process

Step 1

You can visit Our Dogs or Our Puppies pages and review the dogs available at the moment, or just skip to Step 2 if you are not sure about choosing a dog right now.

Step 2

Message us with your adoption request via the Facebook messenger facility - click here

Step 3

We will set an appointment for you to visit the Sanctuary to meet your potential adoptee.

Step 4

All that is left to do is the home visit. Once that has been done you can take your new family member home.
