Arthur was rescued in september 2019 after being completely run over by a vehicle and left to die on the side of the street. He survived and ended up dragging his back legs around looking for food. He was reported to DAS about 3 days after he was hit. Both his back legs were completely broken, he was very thin and suffering from mange.
Here are some pictures of him on the street after his accident and when we rescued him
He spent around 3 weeks at the vet but it was decided that because he was still young - probably around 4 months old- his bones would heal on their own. We brought arthur to the shelter and put him in the quarantine kennels to keep him safe while he healed. Here is a video of him in the kennels
One day - Arthur decided he was ready to join the other dogs and hobbled up to the main area. He was able to walk on all four legs though still a little unsteadily. He now has started playing around with the other dogs and is much more trusting of people. He loves to be tickled on his belly!
Arthur is in the middle of his vaccinations and has not been neutered yet. This will be done when he is fully healed. Here he is looking much better!
