Frosty's Story
On 21 December 2021, Christine was surprised to see a dog struggling to walk on an injured leg, on her regular neighbourhood walks. As she knows all the strays in her area, she was sure that Frosty was new. He was very dehydrated, and and collapsed by the time she had returned with water and food.
X-rays showed the front leg fracture was an old injury, but he also had a fractured pelvis, and the infection from that injury was driving a bad case of Sepsis. Doc Gama extracted 15 cc of pus from his pelvic area.
His cracked pelvis should heal in time, and he is continuing his recovery from Sepsis, but when he is fitter, his fractured from leg will most likely need to be amputated as it is hanging uselessly and dragging around. He enjoys being out in the fields when he gets the chance, and we hope it won't be long before he is back on all (3) paws again.

Some amazing news - after waiting patiently for over a year, Frosty has found his forever home with Nick and Cathey. We couldn't be happier for him, as he's had a horrid 12 months, not least losing his leg as it just was no longer healing.
