Jade
Jade was rounded up by us in February 2023 as part of our Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release (TNVR) programme. Normally we release them back to their street homes if they are otherwise well-fed, but this didn't apply to Jade and her buddy Fern. We will feed them up and look for new homes for them.
Jade's Story
On 18 February 2023, we took in a number of local dogs under our Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Release (TNVR) programme in which we capture dogs, vaccinate, neuter and release dogs if they are healthy and have a clear source of food.
Our promise is that we won't put dogs back if they are unable to survive on the streets.
The majority of the dogs are being fed by shop owners, food stands, security guards etc. but some we pick up clearly aren't. We just cannot put these dogs back. Fern and Jade were two that were clearly not getting enough food, and we simply couldn't put them back to such an uncertain fate.
A few weeks later they were gaining weight, and interacting happily with the other dogs inside the Quarantine Pen. Jade is full of energy and very bouncy. She is clearly used to human contact as she loves to play! She had a case of Mange when she arrived, but her coat is now coming back. We hope she can find a permanent home soon.
