Judy's Story
Judy had a severe case of mange when we brought her in as you can see from the pictures.
The old man came when they brought Judy in and cried when he left.

Judy before rescue
We treated her with Nexgard Spectra, which kills mange mites in two days. It kills all parasites and worms and within a couple of weeks the dog looks completely different. Here she is after about a week.

Judy a few days into treatment
Like most of the strays we bring in, she was very unresponsive to us and tried to keep her distance but over time she became friendlier.
She is never aggressive and is always still a little wary, but does allow people she knows to stroke her.
She is now surprisingly healthy as when dogs have severe mange like she did, their immune systems become compromised and they tend to get sick easily but luckily, she has had no major issues.

She is quite happy here and enjoys playing a lot. She has not been sick or had any injuries. Here is a video taken last Thursday Click to see post….
