Marley in foster care
Rescued on 9 January 2022, Marley is a young puppy who is full of life, despite having horrific injuries to her ears. She is currently recuperating in foster care, and will soon be available for adoption. She is a very sweet girl, with a big character.
Marley's Story
On 9 January 2022, DAS supporters Michael and Maria picked up a young puppy who appeared to have been scorched around her head and ears by hot oil or boiling water. She was disorientated, and in immediate danger of being run over on a busy road.

Her ears were fried to a crisp, and despite the fact that it must have hurt terribly, she was a friendly little thing from the very beginning.
As the Sanctuary was overflowing, and we thought little Marley would benefit from some short-term foster care to allow her wounds to heal, and get her used to living with humans who love her. One of our volunteers Corri stepped up, and Marley is enjoying being by the sea, exploring the garden and sleeping lots.

Her ears are healing up nicely, and she's learning how to live with humans and get leash-trained. She's playful and affectionate, despite the terrible treatment she received at the hands of some unspeakable people. If you feel like you'll be able to provide Marley with the loving home she deserves, please get in touch. To find out more about our fostering programme, check out our Foster page.
