On our way to Animal Wellness, we had a report of a hit-and-run that had been stationary for days, and as someone stepped forward to adopt, we were able to bring Carson in. HIs fractures and condition mean the road to recovery may be long, but he will have a home to look forward to.

Carson's Story
On 13 August 2022, we just got reports of a hit and run that happened more than 5 days earlier. We were on the way to Animal Wellness with Pippa so we swung by and picked him up.
He's quite an old male and his X-rays show he has a spinal fracture similar to the one that Tinkerbelle had so we are hoping a course of laser therapy will heal it.

He was very emaciated and dehydrated. The person who reported him has offered to adopt him. He is a client of Waggin Tails so we know he will be a good adopter. This is wonderful news as it takes some burden off us at the Sanctuary.

He also tested positive for Anaplasma and Ehrlichia which required a course of antibiotics for around 3 weeks. He is a gentle soul, who is a bit confused as to where he is, so the sooner we get him well and off to his new home, the better!
