FREDDY
Freddy was born in March 2020 to Blanca, one of our earliest rescued dogs, in a litter of nine. He and five others survived, two have been adopted, and he is one of four still waiting for their new home.
He is a little wary of strangers, but is very sociable with the other dogs, including his sister Annie. He and Annie would make an excellent pair for someone with patience to allow them to develop.

FREDDY'S STORY
Freddie was born just outside the shelter to one of the dogs we took from the another Animal Welfare shelter in 2019.

Blanca with puppies Annie, Freddy, Pebbles and Sasha
His mother Blanca was always very unsociable and escaped from the Sanctuary a couple of days after we brought her in. She never went far but also never came close enough for us to catch her. She gave birth to nine pups outside the shelter in March 2020. Three puppies died, six survived.

Freddy at 4 months
Despite being brought up in the shelter, all the pups were really unsociable – we just couldn’t get near them. Freddy was probably the most sociable of all the siblings – he was less fearful of people but still far from sociable.
We even put all the puppies in quarantine kennels for a few weeks to try to socialize, but it didn’t work – they were so resistant to human contact.
He likes to hang out with Suki and his siblings in the ‘unsociables’ kennel!

Freddy at 6 months old and Suki
Now freddy will come running up to people and bark- he is curious but still wary of humans.
Freddy is a really healthy dog – he has had none of the illnesses the other dogs have been prone to – skin conditions, Erlichia, Parvo. We hope he will be adopted along with his sister Annie, as they would benefit from eachothers' company while adjusting to a new home.
