Mari
In August 2023, we were experiencing an epidemic of abandoned puppies outside the Sanctuary. Mari and her sisters Mave and Missy were left to die, so we took them in with the hope they would survive and find loving homes with people who did care, and did want them.
Mari's Story
On 11 April 2023, three young puppies, barely eyes open, were heartlessly abandoned near the Sanctuary. It is against the law in the Philippines to treat animals in this way, but it happens all the time. People rarely have funds to afford to sterlise their pets, and the stray population booms. We called them Mave, Missy and Mari.
The only solution is mass sterilisation drives, which we have been organising this year, and hope to do far more of in the coming months.
In the meantime, Mari is looking for her permanent home. She is a loving and playful young dog now, and would be an ideal fit with any family.
Her sister Missy has already found her family, and we hope the same for young Mari and Mave.
