Princess Jasmine

Princess Jasmine
A sad story - Jasmine was unintentionally abandoned in June 2021 when her owner died. She was left alone, with nobody to care for her full time. We had to take her in, otherwise she would have been destroyed by the City Pound.
She is healthy and becoming less shy by the day.
Princess Jasmine's Story
Known as Princess, but as we already have one of those (Princess), Princess Jasmine was one of five dogs owned by a foreigner who sadly died in May 2021. With nobody to look after them fulltime, after a while, there was only Princess Jasmine left. The owner of the house wanted her gone, and she would have been collected by the City Pound and destroyed.

Princess Jasmine before rescue

Princess Jasmine
Despite the pressure on the Sanctuary at the time through the Distemper outbreak, the choice was simple - leave her to a frightening death, or bring her in and hope she would be strong enough to see off any Distemper infection she may receive at the Sanctuary.
She began her time here barking a lot - a simple reaction to the confusion abandonment brings to some dogs, but is now beginning to quieten down and form bonds with other dogs, like Ophelia and Hannah who she shared Quarantine with. Over time, she will learn to trust again, and we hope a new home can be found for her. She is in all other regards a healthy dog.
