Seamus was bought in to the Sanctuary in January 2023. Her is an old dog, but malnutrition and mange were taking an unacceptable toll. He was initially a little aggressive, but our staff have been working their magic and he is accepting of the care he is now under.

Seamus's Story
On 5 January 2023, we took in an older dog who was reported collapsed in a field, very weak, dehydrated, skinny and full of mange. We called him Seamus.
We couldn't find him initially, but with the help of a local wedding party, we found him scraping together a poor meal of discarded scraps in a nearby field.
Seamus when rescued
Our team sprang into action, expertly collecting him up without harming him or themselves. The Christmas Donations Drive was very generously supported, so we had enough funds to rescue him and a few other worthy cases. We hope he will shake off the mange with the help of Bravecto medication, put some weight back on and live on in a much happier state than that in which he was found.
