Sindy's Story
When we have available funds, our Trap Spay Neuter Release (TNR) programme in the Community rounds up stray dogs and spays or neuters them, before returning them to the streets if it is clear they are otherwise healthy and can find food. In April 2023, we collected Sindy, who was being fed by the security guards at Robinsons Mall in Dumaguete.
She was in a healthy condition, so following surgery and vaccinations, she was taken back, but she cried so loudly and kept following the Sanctuary staff when they tried to leave, we couldn't leave her there.
She had made a decision to move on with her life somewhere else, despite the care she was shown by the guards. She is now a quiet, slightly timid dog who is still adapting to her surroundings, but is very trusting and obedient.
We hope in time someone steps forward to offer her a permanent home. She is such a deserving young dog.
