Tommy's Story
On 21 August 2023, a young dog was reported to us by someone who had tried to make him comfortable by the side of the road, but really couldn't do more than call us. He couldn’t afford to bring Tommy to the vet, but he bandaged his leg and provided food and water.
We are still getting a lot of reports of animals in need and puppies dumped outside Sanctuary but we are soldiering on hoping that we will still get support to look after these poor little souls! He had a fractured leg, fractured pelvis and dislocated hip joint, very much like Bria whom we rescued a few weeks ago. She is now running around!
He is now pretty much fully recovered. He cast came off his front leg, and he has a cute little bounce in his rear end when he's changing direction, like he hasn't quite got full mobility in his hind quarters! This doesn't stop him one bit - he's super friendly and loving, and sooooooo soft!
