wena
Wena was brought in as a tiny puppy – just around a week old – with her mother Chloe and her sibling Isla.
She's a very healthy dog and has not been sick in all her time at the Sanctuary.

Wena
wena's STORY

Wena as a puppy
Wena's mother Chloe was a stray who was being fed by two of our regular donors. She was in a bad condition due to mange and had just given birth on the side of the road. She was moving the four puppies up and down the road.
The happy outcome is that Chloe is fully recovered and was adopted by Rina, two were adopted which leaves just Wena looking for her new home.
This is Wena and Isla when they arrived at the Sanctuary.

Wena
Wena is very friendly with shelter staff but is wary of visitors. We are working with her to make her more relaxed.

Wena has become a lot more sociable this month and is playing a lot with the other dogs, but mainly old Bruno!
She has had no problems with her health at all - she rarely does and her skin has had no issues at all. Some of the dogs get fungal infections that cause discoloration of their fur but Wena must have a good immune system.
We plan to start leash training her but we really need more volunteers. We have only just started leash training since our volunteers changed from cleaning to dog walking so I will put Wena on the list for next month.
Here's a short clip of Wena checking out Jake as he has just been let out of Quarantine.
